THEIR CHALLENGE

The business needed to scale its UK SDR and AE teams after Series C funding. 

Some of the roles had been live with the internal talent team for more than three months but they were not finding the right quality or volume, with the team spread too thinly across 109 roles and TAS team of two people servicing all roles. 

An example of the sourcing challenge was that some of the sale role adverts had been live for over a month with fewer than 10 applications in that time.

THEIR CHALLENGE

The business needed to scale its UK SDR and AE teams after Series C funding.

An example of the sourcing challenge was that some of the sale role adverts had been live for over a month with fewer than 10 applications in that time.

OUR SOLUTION

Working with the EMEA VP and SDR manager within the enterprise sales team, we determined two separate strategies were needed. 

For the SDR requirement of three reps, we created compelling job adverts and built a talent event deck to deliver over Zoom with the shortlisted candidates from our search. 

The ones who impressed and engaged the most in the event completed a detailed screening interview with Bolt Talent before completing an interview with the EMEA VP and SDR manager, as well as a culture fit assessment with a member of the existing team.  

For the Enterprise Account Executive requirement of three reps we selected a targeted search approach along with compelling direct messaging, role briefing, advertising and promotion, as well as interrogating our own candidate pool for high-fit star talent. 

The shortlisted candidates completed a detailed screening interview with Bolt Talent before completing two client-side interviews with the EMEA VP and a senior member of the AE team. 

The same approach was selected for the SDR Manager requirement.

This was based on the calibre of talent in the process, and a decision to bring forward some of the resource budget to invest early and get ahead of the curve.

In total across this and another SDR team in the business we placed 15 SDRs, five Enterprise AEs and one SDR Manager within the first three months of engagement with this client.
